This interactive virtual roundtable brought HR and organisational leaders together to share challenges, compare approaches and explore practical solutions for building a future‑ready workforce. Attendees had the opportunity to discuss how to strengthen early‑career development, increase digital and AI capability, and respond to the rapidly shifting skills landscape. Joining the discussion from Henley Business School were: Professor Anne Dibley, Head of Apprenticeship Programmes and Dr James Farr, Head of External Engagement.

Alongside this collaborative discussion, the session provided clarity on the transition from the Apprenticeship Levy to the Growth and Skills Levy, and what these changes meant for talent pipelines. As AI and technological change continued to reshape job roles and expectations, the speakers highlighted the importance of strong foundational, digital and future-focused skills for early-career employees to thrive, while giving employers greater confidence that their workforce was prepared for long-term success.

Participants explored how organisations could build the digital capability, early-career pathways and sustainable skills needed to remain competitive in an increasingly digital world.
