Pioneering HR team gains national recognition

A small but pioneering HR team focused on employee engagement to support business success has been shortlisted for a major national award.

The team at the Priory Learning Trust in Somerset was shortlisted for its strategy on using employee engagement platforms to drive business strategy in the National Reward Gateway Awards.

They will now appear in the grand finals at Tate Modern next month alongside four other shortlisted finalists including Tower Hamlets Homes and Travis Perkins. There were hundreds of entries across the categories.

Head of HR Danni Laing said: “We are all committed and enthusiastic to make our employee benefits the best around so we are thrilled with reaching the finals.

“A major part of our TPLT culture is to cherish staff so this is a brilliant commendation of our work in this area.”

Over 700 people work across TPLT schools to make a brilliant education for over 5000 students and pupils.

Neville Coles, CEO of TPLT, said: “This is a truly outstanding recognition of the superb work done by our relentless HR team.”

Schools in the TPLT are Worle Community School Academy, Priory Community School Academy, The King Alfred School Academy, St Anne’s Church Academy, Castle Batch School Academy, Pawlett Primary School Academy, West Huntspill Community Primary and East Huntspill Community Primary.

TPLT is also passionate to put Students First and Serve Communities including its extensive civic work and charity help.
